Hi Everyone! This is Amy and yes I have arrived!!! This is the morning of my third day here and I have to say I love Bondi Beach!!!
My journey here wasn't an easy one, my flight was about 20 min outside of Sydney when we were advised we had to fly to brisbane because of fog. In Brisbane we sat on the plane for 2.5 hours, after which we were told there was a sand storm in Sydney and we had to wait for it to clear up before we could fly. We went into the airport and chilled out for another couple of hours at about noon, five hours after I was supose to arrive in Sydney we boarded the plane as we had to race the strom away from Brisbane. We left Brisbane for our hour journey to Sydney and you could see the 1000km wide sandstorm below. It was crazy all you could see was a red abyss, not the best feeling when you were flying over it. Before we could descend into Sydney we had to be placed into a holding pattern for about 2 hours, due to high traffic in the area. After all that I arrived in Sydney with five international Boeing 747 who all had to go through customs at the same time!!
It took a little while but it all went by very fast!
Yesterday Shanna, Julie and I explored Sydney, we went to Sydney wild life world and got to see a lot of creatures including deadly spiders, snakes, kangaroos, koalas and lot of other animals.
We are all having a great time, the sand storm is long over and the weather is perfect!!! Today is beach day and tomorrow is NZ!!!
